I started my career as a computer programmer in New York City more than 30 years ago, helping major companies including Sony and Merrill Lynch. In 1996 I took a three-month hiatus to complete a solo 2,900 mile bicycle trip from Florida to Maine, with nothing more than a tent and a sleeping bag. Afterward, I moved to Atlanta where, for the next three years, I assisted Georgia Power, Delta Airlines and SunTrust with its year 2000 issues.
In 1999 I founded Brighthand, a mobile computing website and developed it into one of the top properties on the Web. During the next several years I was recognized as an expert in mobile computing by Microsoft and Palm, and quoted frequently in major publications, including Investor’s Business Daily and the San Francisco Chronicle. |
In 2003, I moved to Tampa, sold Brighthand, and took a position as a Mac Genius for Apple. I hold nearly a dozen certifications from Apple, including Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT). I worked for Apple during the launch of the first iPhone but left shortly afterward to open Screwbox.
